Interesting that explicit AI-related layoff announcements in August and September were the lowest of the year. Do you think that's a real slowdown, or are companies just choosing not to name AI as the reason?

The number I would not treat as an agent checkout is the Adobe figure on AI-referred traffic: more engagement, a higher conversion rate, and about a 50% revenue uplift versus non-AI-referred visits. That is a person who arrived from an AI answer and then bought. It does not say an agent placed the order, retried a payment, or saw the same cart twice. I would split those logs before calling the uplift agentic shopping. A referred session can be counted once at conversion, but a checkout agent needs the payment attempt keyed to the cart version so a retry after a timeout does not charge the same order again.
